Staff Bio’s

Ron Sensei

Ron has a 5th degree blackbelt in Aikido from the Headquarters dojo in Japan and an Master’s in Education from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has been a live in student in both Iwama Japan and in the US. Thirty plus years of study has allowed him to hone his instruction so that it may be quickly individualized for students. His teaching experience includes time in the United States Army, as an Aikido/self-defense instructor at the both the high school and post-secondary level, a teacher with over twenty years of experience in children’s classes, and chief instructor at Aikido in Sparks. He believes that martial study should be accessible to a variety of people.

Sam Chung-Senior Balance & Flex Instructor

Sam has approached his Aikido through a steady study of what someone can do beyond the age of seventy. He is a fantastic teacher and mentor to many in the dojo.

Cristina Incantalupo

Assistant Teacher

A first degree blackbelt in Aikido and with Judo experience. She approaches Aikido with exuberance and has a passion for learning.

Robert Albright

Assistant Teacher

A first degree blackbelt in Aikido. His growth as a practitioner of Aikido is fantastic. He is always ready to assist you through the falling practice and coaching you forward in your progress.

Dennis Stoddard

Assistant Teacher

With years of karate experience he truly brings something new to every practice. He proves that Aikido is an art available to everyone regardless of previous martial arts experience. Dennis is now working from brown-black belt to his first degree blackbelt.
